Would you be willing to read for one Sunday in Advent?

Icon_plaza_need
We will need a family each week to participate in worship this season of Advent.  We will need a family/person to read a Scripture and the litany in the liturgy...

Jonssons are willing and able on Either of the remaining dates. But we’re ok if you find someone else to do it too!

Swiss teenage boy looking for place to stay

Comment from Carine Mattix:

Vicki,

I finally heard back from my cousin regarding his son, and he is looking for
a place for him to work/stay from end of Feb 2012 until July 2012. I don’t
know if it would fit in any way with your friend raising horses but I did
want to give you an update, after hearing from them.
Enjoy your Saturday,
Carine

Vicki, This would happen through a private way, his dad asked me if I knew somebody, or knew somebody who knew somebody. As for the time frame, I have emailed him with the question and will know more soon. Regarding pay, room and board, etc… I think that for visa purposes, he needs to come here as a language student, which really limits how many hours a week he can be paid. (I offered to his dad to look into that, once we know whether something would work out or not). But basically, an arrangement could be that he works for his room and board, and for a little bit of pocket money, which could not exceed whatever is possible for a student to earn on a student visa. Or, his dad pays the difference in room and board for what Guillaume cannot earn by working, depending on the work they need to be done, and his ability as a 17 year old to do it. All this would have to be worked out so that it can be satisfactory for both the host family and Sam (my cousin) and his son Guillaume, as well as legal with visa requirements. As for work insurance, I think that his dad would insure Guillaume with international insurance so that he can work for a family without any insurance issues. My cousin always had one or two horses around, which means that Guillaume has always been used to them (they used to have cows as well, but had to let go of that as it wasn’t cost effective anymore), they do mainly vineyards and crops, now. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more answers, Thanks a lot for forwarding the information, I appreciate it! Carine 2011/10/5 Vicki Hollon on The City < (email address removed)

I would organize it if it could be early mornings. 5am to 6am, 3x a week, longer runs on Sat morning, from 6am on… would anybody be interested by these kind of hours? Or are you looking at evening running?
